A downloadable game for Windows and macOS

Surly's Bizarre Adventure is a game that is in no way related to JoJo, despite the name; it is instead what would be a charming story about a witty ball of light and a blue-haired mute enby, but is instead a brutally difficult platformer with snappy controls and a desire to make you melt in tears.

Explore

Each level has secrets to find, dialogue to hear, and many, many ways to die. Try to find them all!

Puzzle

Solve the riddle at the end of each level to unlock the next, move bricks onto buttons to find the way out, and break your brain with complex systems!

DIE.

Die repeatedly. Over and over again. Sometimes for stupid reasons, sometimes for complex ones. Losing is fun, as Urist McProgrammer always says!

After completing what's there of the game so far, you can challenge yourself by trying to complete the levels as fast as possible, or with as few hits as possible. Post your best times for each level here, and see how you fared against others!

We plan to expand this game over time, adding more levels and areas as time goes on.

(Note: The sound effects during the boss level are not ours, and instead are from here:)

Install instructions

The downloaded file will be a .zip file. Unzip it (on either platform, you can accomplish this by right-clicking and pressing "extract") and move it to the desired location. From there, inside the folder you will be able to access the game files.

ive tried it but the rope jumping is too hard for me - would be better if you didnt have to hold the mouse button down to stay attached and you could lengthen or shorten the rope
